If you've ever looked into a Digital Whiteboard or large writing tablet for your PC you've probably seen that they tend to be extremely expensive and often end up outside of the average buyer's price range. While not a complete replacement for one of these high-end boards one enterprising Wiimote hacker has come up with a pretty interesting alternative that can be put together for under $100.

This Wiimote based whiteboard can track upto four points and offers some pretty interesting versatility. Check out the video (after the jump) for a closer look.

Club Nintendo Shwag

Over the last several months we've seen some really cool swag work its way into the hands of Japan's Club Nintendo members. Of course there is no American branch of Club Nintendo but we do get our share of some interesting items here and there. From the feather stylus to some of the really cool pre-order stuff there are at least some things worth making the extra effort for.

One thing that is very disappointing though is the quality of the Japanese fan swag when compared to some of the stuff we Americans get.

Don't believe me? take a peak at the image above.

As part of a new promotion Club Nintendo in Japan is offering the choice of either a Nintendo themed Calendar, a Super Mario Galaxy Soundtrack CD set or a classic Wii controller shaped like the SNES pad.

I want that SNES pad dammit.

N’Gai’s Redesigned WiimoteYeah, sometimes the Wiimote is a bit uncomfortable but what can you do really? It's a trade-off balancing some of the console's ingenuity against traditional expectations for gaming - right?

Maybe not.

Newsweek's N'Gai Croal suggested a minor change to the Wiimote that I think's absolutely brilliant - not just for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption but in general. If you can't pick up on this subtle change head over to the Level Up blog and read more.

This isn't really gaming news so much as a heads up for Nintendo Fanboys. If you're using iGoogle themes you might get a kick out of a new third party gadget that lets you create your own custom themes. While the gadget lets you create your own themes Google Operating System points out that a few gadgets are bundled with it.

Drawbacks? Because it's a third party gadget and requires inlining you risk opening up the information that's on any tabs which hold the gadget.

Game of the Weak - Crash of the Titans

Crash of the Titans Boxart

This is a tough one - not because there's a lot of good looking games coming out but because there are nearly none (hence the pun.) There's a movie tie in that's cashing in a bit late (Balls of Fury), a game that's got a funny title but little promise (NinjaBread Man,) a couple of oddball games and then Crash of the Titans.

I have to admit I'm not totally excited about this game but it does mark the rebirth of a popular franchise.
