Jericho Gets Its Demo On

As we mentioned earlier this week a demo for Clive Barker's upcoming horror FPS was due to hit the Xbox Live Marketplace sometime today (Thursday, Sept 27th) - and it has.

The demo is available on XBLM, on the PlayStation Network and even for PC download.

Right now Jericho is due for release in late October so be sure to grab the demo and give it a whirl.

This weekend I'll be reviewing the XBox360 demo so be sure to check back for more.

Metal Gear Solid 4 English Demo On the Way

Solid SnakeRight now Metal Gear Solid 4 looks to be THE system seller on the PS3. I know several people, including myself, who really look at it as one of the biggest exclusives the PLAYSTATION 3 has going for it.

If you've seen any of the game's teaser videos you've probably noticed that the demo is done solely in Japanese - kind of a bummer for those of us who took high school French.

The good news is that Kotaku is reporting that Kojima Productions has started work on an English version of the Metal Gear Solid 4 demo:

As of tomorrow, we're going to start working on the English demo...Anything I say beyond what I'm going to say is going to incriminate me and people are going to know what I'm hinting at.

No word yet on when we'll be seeing the demo but it's good to know that something is coming!

Clive Barker’s Jericho Demo Gets Dated

Most people who hear Jericho right now start thinking immediately about the CBS show that miraculously made it back from the dead thanks to an internet movement (a la Family Guy.)

Most people aren't gamers.

Gamer's hear Jericho and they (at least should) start thinking about Clive Barker's new FPS horror game that's headed to the PC, XBox360 and PS3. If you're at all familiar with the game you'll be happy to hear that a demo for the game is working it's way to the XBox Live Marketplace this Thursday. Chances are you'll also be seeing it on the PC and PS3 around the same time.

Strangehold Demo Reviewed

I've been messing around with the demo for John Woo's Stranglehold for a couple of days now. While the Demo really doesn't showcase much of what the story is about it sure is a ton of fun. It's hard to ignore some of the similarities between Stranglehold and Chili Con Carnage and that's not a bad thing.

The mix of gunfire and acrobatics is extremely fun and video of the full game offers some interesting new mechanics and possibilities. One of my favorite parts about Stranglehold is it's destructible environment. With a slew of signs, platforms and air-conditioning units there are some really cool options for taking out enemies without direct fire.

With only a few weeks left before the release of Halo 3 this one looks like it might be a good option for filling the void. The verdict is still out on whether it's a 'buy' but I can guarantee a rental would be money well spent.

Army of Two Screenshot

Every time I see Army of Two I get more excited to give it a try. Described as a Co-Op Third Person Shooter the game will definitely be on everyone's 'gotta try it' list when it finally arrives.

At this time details about Army of Two's story are vague and the about all that is certain is that this is probably gonna be a title for two players. While the game does offer a single player mode it seems as though the real fun in Army of Two will come from playing alongside your friends trying to overcome the game's various challenges.
