Assassin’s Creed ‘Templar’ Trailer

Back when Assassin's Creed was going to be a PS3 exclusive it was one of the main reasons I was looking forward to grabbing the console. Even now that it's made the move to a cross platform title it remains one of the major games to watch for Sony's newest PLAYSTATION.

While a lot of the videos we've seen so far have been little more than teasers the new "Templar" trailer for Assassin's Creed is showing off some really exciting stuff.

German Kane and Lynch Trailer Scares me

Unless it's spoken regarding beer the german language can occasionally be scary. The new Kane & Lynch: Dead Men trailer (available below) is a shining example.

If the trailer below isn't interesting enough you can also visit the official Kane & Lynch: Dead Men site to download it additional trailers for the PSP. Slated for release on the PLAYSTATION 3, XBox360 and PC Kane & Lynch should be available this fall.

Burnout Paradise Trailer Live and in HD

Burnout Paradise Logo

Burnout Takedown was one of the best racing games released on the XBox. Mixing high speed racing with an aggressive type of gameplay that encouraged bumping, rubbing and crashing Burnout re-invigorated the arcade style racer. Burnout Revenge, the only next gen Burnout so far, wasn't anything new but it certainly offer a fun experience.

After a quick stint on the handheld consoles Burnout is making it's way back to consoles in the first truly next gen iteration. If you're at all interested in checking out the trailer for Burnout Paradise you may want to boot up your 360 and head over to the XBox Live Marketplace.

The trailer - which is surprisingly peaceful considering it's a Burnout game - is currently available in high def. If you can't get onto the Marketplace you can also check it out over on YouTube.

LucasArts Announces ‘Fracture’

Don't be fooled ... this isn't a totally new game mechanic. Early in the PlayStation 2's life cycle a game was released that offered players a unique take on FPS action. A mechanic dubbed "Geo Mod" (aka geometry modification) was used in a game called Red Faction and was aimed at revolutionizing the first person shooter genre.

Using the typical array of FPS weapons a player was able to alter the game environment and attack enemies with various new techniques. Using a rocket launcher, for example, you could drill holes through rock or concrete so as to attack hidden enemies or collapse a ceiling to take out groups of foot-soldiers. The original Red Faction, not the crappy sequel, was revolutionary in it's presentation. It's amazing to me that a solid sequel never arrive.
